Artificial Reef critters

Just getting started. I have a 6ft tall acrylic cylinder tank with artifical reef purchased from livingcolor down the center (takes up about 3/4 of the width of the tank). I'd like to put in more critters (clams, shrimp. crabs etc.) than fish. Wondering what types of these go together and can survive in artificial reef.

The clam will need high light like MH or quality LED's the shrimp and crabs won't. The fish you choose will probably very limited because of the foot print of the tank most fish like zoom room.
