cant clean it

so its been awhile since i gave up on the sw thing and took my tank down.

i am trying to clean it to set up a new tank but i cant seem to get the old crusty algae build up things off the glass. salt build up on all my accessories too. what can i use? thanks=)

razorblade if its glass, just watch the seems, also vinegar

I also was going to suggest vinegar. That stuff will get it clean with a little elbow grease of course.

I use a 50/50 combo of white vinegar and water. You can also use a few caps of bleach in a bucket of water but you must rinse good and you must let it air dry completely. I`ve done this several times.
