Trying to figure out what to do in my new tank and how much flow I should be shooting for. The tank is a 200g 84" long and only has one overflow that will flow roughtly 1200gph. Should I have the other end drilled and install another overflow? I"m not real worried about moving more water because I will have a closed loop pump but am worried that all the dirt/junk can only get to my sump by way of one overflow in the corner of a 84" tank.

I"m still trying to decide between a couple smaller circulation pump, one large one, 1-2 tunze powerheads.....not real sure yet:roll:, but I guess I should be looking for 4,000++gph total

closed loop system

Hello What is the difference between a closed loop and open loop system. What are the advantages of both. I am playing around with tring to get more water flow. I just ordered two new pumps 800GPH and 1000gph.

Thanks SMooTH
