Clean up crew

I have a 55g tank, with about 20 lbs lr and 60 lbs sand. I cycled the tank properly and added a damsel which i am about to take out to add a couple clown fish. But my question is, should I add the cuc before I get any new fish or after or does it not matter?

I usually add my cuc after cycling and before fish. Just don't get too many at once.

I honestly don't think it matters though about the order.
