I asked this question on another post and I would like more input on the idea.

I will have a 10 gallon and I know I want a clown to start. I am working on what second fish I will have in the tank and I would like to be able to consider a chromis because they are active and less expensive. I know other small fish might be better (I am also looking at yellow clown gobies and royal grammas), but am trying to determine how bad it would be to consider having a chromis with the clown. Anyone have an experience to share?

First off I don't think a clown would be very happy in a 10g, let alone a second fish. You have to take the adult size of the fish into consideration when dealing with such a small tank.

Not to mention most chromis get pretty big when they're adults, some bigger then clownfish.
