Clownfish question

I have a single percula clown in my 10 gallon FOWLR tank. He came from a local store and is supposedly tank raised. I noticed at night he sits on the bottom. Pretty much motionless. Until he notices someone and "wakes" up. Then he will swim around and act very good. I was just wanting to make sure that this was normal behavior?

29 gal FW, boring...soon to be salt I think.

10 gal SW, 20lbs LS, 20lbs base rock, 1 unhappy domino damsel (he was in the 38...switched the percs and the damesel recently).

Sounds like normal night time behavior.

yes, this is completely normal. my 2 O.clowns have "their spot" on the top of this one rock and at night they just lay there and then come to life once the lights go on or there is some other disturbance.

Good to know. I thought it might be normal. It would make since if they did this inside an anemone.

or they find a nice corner or anyplace with a swift current and swim up against the surface of the water, in the past some of mine were like that.

My two sit in a back corner after the lights go out. So don't worry about it.

I think I killed the isopod. Thankfully he didn't find my clown.

Those things have some hard shells. Felt like stabbing a rock. Least I don't have to worry about that.
