i confused of getting a yellow tang i dont no if i should get a smaller 1 or a medium one i have my 55 gallon for about 3 month and i dont no if i want a small one or a reular sized one the guy in the lfs told me he can get me wat ever size i want it

What kind of live stock do you have in the tank now???

I think you should wait for a while before you get a yellow tang for your tank. 3 months really isn't a long time and most tanks aren't stable enough to support a fish like that. Also you need to know that no matter what size you get it will grow and get too large to be happy in a 55. There are several people here that keep yellow tangs in 55s but eventually it will out grow the tank. What kind of live stock do you have in the tank now???

Anyway here is some info on the yellow tang. You`ll see it needs a 100 gallon tank minimum and can get to 8 inches long.
