Coral Skeleton as Bio Media

I got some nice pieces of coral Skeleton can I break them up and use some pieces for Bio media in my canister?

I don't know why not. It should make a good home to some nitrifying bacteria. The calcium should help buffer the water.

I always have spare rubble in my sumps for extra area for beneficial bacteria. In terms of the canister, it should work just as well as long as you keep the canister clean.
