Crabs galore

I am at the beach and we are infested with hermit crabs has anyone ever took one home and put it in there tank after quarantine of course

I dont know. I would think that if you quarantined it, it would be ok.. but you best be sure as to know what kind of crab it is. If its good for reefs, if you have a reef, if it gets along with fish.. etc.. I would do some research and find out what the crab is before doing ANYTHING that involves taking it and bringing it back home to your aquarium.

Depends on the type of crab. I once had some sort of Atlantic Hermit crab that was really big. I thought it was really cool until fish started disappearing and about $80 later I saw it perched across a sort of hole in the live rock set up that I had and it grabbed a $20 fish. That was his last day in that tank.
