Cycling 2nd tank

I can't remember if i can leave my filter sock on during cycle. I'm doing rapid cycling with microbacter 7.

Can I leave filter sock and carbon media in there?

Yes to the sock. It'll catch junk you'll want to remove once cycled. There isn't a need to use your carbon so save it for when the tank has livestock.
