Do i need a filter if i have a protein skimmer

And what about those protien skimmers that come with skimmers

I don't have any filter running right now is my system in danger?
Getting a skimmer soon
Lfs told me I don't need a filter?

No you wont need a filter if your getting a ps,just get one rated 1 1/2 x size of tank,but a filter sock may be handy.

i would put a filter. you're spending all the money on fish why skimp out. more filtration will never kill the fish it will only help them live longer

as i said before i have two filters, a marineland emperor 280 with biowheel and nitrogeon in a media cartrage and an aqueon 30 with bio stones in it. i also have a protien skimmer, my water perameters are always low and my fish are always happy.
