Dry rock cleaning?

What's the best and easiest way to clean this dry rock I just picked up?

To remove unsightly things like algae I usually just run it under water and scrub it.

What's a good tool to scrub the rock with? Kitchen sponge? Bathroom brush? Or is it safe to clean the rock with my freshwater glass sponge and still be able to use the sponge in my other fw tanks?

I'd definitely not use anything that has been used in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. something you use in you freshwater tank should be fine. Just wash the sponge out after so you don't get anything in your fw tank.

I'd use a brush, sponge would break off on the rock and then you would have to pick the bits off.
