Dwarf golden tail eel

I've been trying for a week now to feed him dead silver fish/ prawn ... And he puts his mouth round it but won't take it .. Any ideas ?

There are some picky eaters out there. It is pretty common practice to use live feeders to entice eating.

It's illegal to use live fish etc in uk .. Can use river shrimp but I'd rather he would take dead variety of foods ... Is this just another little battle I'll have to carry on doing until he does eat .. To be fair he's only been in a week .. But this was a once in a lifetime find for me and I know they don't come around very often

Well the live feeders are supposed to entice feeding and fix issues of not eating. Have you tried moving a shrimp around in pretend alive food?

Yup that did the trick waved it in front of his nose for an hour then he finally took it

Took my snowflake eel a couple weeks till started taking food I wouldn't panic just yet. I've heard of people using garlic before that might work
