Feathers have gone

I am still in the process of getting all my LR, I have about 60 pounds right now. My question is some of the LR that I have gotten had some feathers on the rock, but now they are gone. Could it be that my water is not cycled enough in my 120 gallon tank to support the feathers.
Current reading are as follows:
Salt 1.026
Temp 80.6
NH3 0.25
No2 0.3
NO3 10
PO4 0.2
CA 720 (high I know)
O2 7.0
ALK 5.14
KH 14.4
PH 8.2

I am starting to use RO water, but just got the unit hooked up last week. So this will be my first week using RO water as my water change.

What did you use for water before?

Used tap water that was held for a week in a barrel with powerhead moving the water around.

Hmm most people dont recommend tap did you put any buffers in it?

Yes I put SeaChem Malawi Victoria Buffer in it, I have switched over to RO/DI water (Now that I know what it is; thanks to you guys).
