So I'm about to fill my tank with water...obviously lol but could I add the freshwater to the tank and then add the salt? I know in the future I can't do that cause the fish. But I'm not gunna have fish or anything live in the tank for a couple months...it would be easier cause I have 40 gal tank with 40 gal sump and I don't have a big container to mix the water in so I would have to mix in a 5 gal bucket and that's a lot of work lol so could I put the salt straight in the tank for this first time?

That's what I do when I first setup tanks. You'll just want to mix it in the tank for a couple days until the salinity is correct before adding any sand or rock.

^ bingo, or I keep a 40g trash can and a strong pump next to my 75. Run water through the window into trash can into tank.
