Film

hello,
i have a question about film on top of my SW tank. its a clear film but with micro bubbles in it. i dont know what it could be from.

also my protine skimmer is not picking up what it use to either. i have a reef ready bac-pac skimmer, and its done great. any idea on how to cure this?

When is the last time you cleaned the pump and intake on the skimmer? Try that and I bet it will work better.

great job. i just took my skimmer apart and though it was not the intake tube i found my air nozzel broke and would not let air into the lines. there for there was no bubbles in my skimmer. thanks again.. i have another question but i will make a different post

Cool, glad it worked. I find that after I clean my skimmer it's performance increases exponentially.

Good suggestion by Lindsay. Usually a PH aimed at the surface will break up that film.

I agree with both the cleaning and the ph to move the surface water a little bit more, worked for me every time.
