is a 100 gallon filter too much for a 30 gallon fish tank? I have a Magnum 350 canister filter and the filter that came with the tank that hangs on the back.

No that's good all my filters I use filter twice as much as needed. Keeps things a lot cleaner.

I realy don't think u can over filterwater u can overskim but not filter I'm pretty sure of it

Yeah I really don't think you can overfilter. My filters are rated for a lot higher then my tanks and everything is niceeee and clean
