I am upgrading my aqueon filter to an aqua clear and I was wondering if I have to do anything so that there is no cycle and the BB stays?

In saltwater very little of your BB is in your filter. It's mostly on your rock. You should be alright, but still watch the parameters.

You can but I won't do anything to great.

The old media most likely won't fit, and you should just pick up some CPE to run in the ac instead of the fluval media

Yes it should be, and that's all I run in my acs

What size should I get? Should I also use the sponge and the noodle things too?

I believe it's 1/2 unit for up to 20g 1 unit up to 50g and so on. You can use the sponge if you want but it will have be cleaned at least once a week, and the bio pellets are a fw thing, your LR will provide the bio filtration

I alternate Chemi-Pure Elite and Carbon in mine.
