Flow rate.

Would I benefit from a higher flow rate from the return pump? It's a 140g setup currently running a 500 gph pump the outflow is 350-375. Also I had some questions about a refugium how does it differ from the sump system I have? Which is better? pros cons? Thanks again you guys have been incredibly helpful!!

I myself like a slow flow threw my sump/fuge the theory is slower flow gives the skimmer more time to remove stuff from the water as well as the macro algae I have a 180 gl. and the flow in the sump is around 2-3x volume Flow in side the tank is 30x volume.
A refugium is a good place for pods to grow and most grow some kind of macro algae in there as well.
