Woah, did you gain another level or something?!!?
I really like how white you have the lights for these shots. Most tanks online lately seem way bluer than your tank. Very refreshing. So beautiful.

Yes, the pics depict exactly the color the tank appears. I keep it pretty white. While it is cool in the morning and night when the blues are stronger and some of the coral fluoresces a bit, I think overall I like the 12,000-14000K range that I keep the tank.

Hats off man! Corals may fluoresce a little more with masses of 03 over a tank but the fish and corals could not look any better than this. Honestly, everything about this tank is just first rate.
Now, after giving my brother my reef at the end of summer I have to set up a new one. If I don't it'll be the first year I wouldn't have a reef in over 15 years. I think I'll reread your whole thread before I finalize my own material list.

Thanks! I appreciate the compliment coming from someone with your experience. Some of it has been a hard fought battle, but mostly it has just been enjoyable learning something new.

Scottay, It has been fairly consistent in pretty much all of the coral. Rics are dividing, lots of white tips on the SPS, and new heads on the zoas, acans, and fauvia. I think the 2 part system really helped to stabilize the tank and keep conditions good for growth.
Keith, thanks!

Love the close up of the clown. I always find it hard to get a good shot of mine. The little buggars never stop moving. Looks great.

Thanks crystal. Too bad she was pooping lol.
The female is very photogenic and seems to pose for me. The male is a bit more skittish.

Great looking tank. Just read all the pages. Your tank dimensions are close to my next build. How is that yellow tang doing? I really was considering one as well. Also, what dosing system are you using? Going that route and was clueless as to the containers to hold the solutions.

Thanks!
Tang is doing well. Clearly the tank is on the verge of whether or not it is appropriately sized and I wrestled for months deciding whether or not to try it. I had a lot of people I trust tell me it was a bad idea and a lot of people I trust tell me it would be just fine. I have had it for only 5 months or so maybe so tough to tell at this point if I made a right or wrong decision but so far it seems healthy. It is active but never seen it appear stressed or flashing. It eats voraciously and pretty much leaves the rest of the fish alone. No illness or disease thus far - but as I said 5 months isn't a good measure as to if it will be ok long term.
For dosing I use the BRS 2 part system with auto dosing Perastaltic pumps. I purchased the bubble magus containers that BRS sells as I didn't have a lot of space and they were the perfect size. There is a pic of them somewhere in this thread maybe back around September or so? The addition or 2 part dosing made a tremendous difference in the health and growth of my coral.
