Going to look at and possibly buy a 125g tank this evening! Already have stand and canopy that hopefully will work perfectly. The tank is already drilled and ready supposed to be a brand new tank. Getting it for $300 and my mom said she would pay for half as a late bday gift. Thinking I will be combining both of my 40s and my 36 into this one tank. So excited!

Ended up getting about 80lbs of dry rock, 4 20lb bags of black aroganite sand, 200 gallons worth of salt, 2 5 gallon buckets, and 3 5 gallon jugs.
Tank fits perfectly on the stand I got for free from my buddy!

Just took a second look into the box of stuff he gave me and it's 140 pounds of black sand!

I am going to be combining both of my 40b reef tanks into this one. Trying to figure out how I am going to do the sump for the tank. Not really much space inside the stand only 16 inches to work with. I do have a 55g, 30g, 20tall, a 20long(sump on one of the 40s), and numerous 10g tanks.

If you plan on using a mag cleaner on this tank (just assuming since it's probably pretty deep) the black sand is magnetic and will scratch your glass up if you get to close. You may want to switch to regular sand if you do.

I have never had a prob in my other tanks with black sand and mag cleaners

I'm thinking of purchasing a sca-302 for mine. The reviews are good and it's only 150 dollars.

I think I'm looking to go a bit larger like something rated for a 250-300g.

If you find something reasonably priced for that size let me know man.

So I think I might have to go with that one due to size constraints

Setting up the tank this week. Decided to just go with my reef octopus bh-2000 for now & 20g long sump. Should be fun transferring 3 tanks into 1. Getting all new sand biggest expense of the tank.

Got the tank all plumbed now I need to get sand for it and it will be ready for me to start condensing everything from three tanks into one. Gonna be a long weekend

So these three tanks will be combined into one in the next two days hopefully
