gorgonian anyone???

I was thinking of ordering a gorgonian from palmettoreefs.com. Has anyone had any experience with them? They look so neat.

What type of gorg are you looking at? I have kept sea plumes and candelabrums and knobby candelabrums. They like LOTS of light, very strong waterflow and regular feedings. I have never actualy target fed mine, I feed the entire tank a blender mush and they feed when the fish do. All gorgs will shed a waxy film from time to time, as a way of cleaning themselves of algae, detritus, etc...

I would have to contact palmetto reefs tp find out. On the website they said that they are aquacultured, thus pretty hardy. It also recommended feeding DT's which I do anyway. Check out the site and tell me what you think!!!!

ooops. I forgot to mention that I have halides, and VERY strong current. So I would be good there. ( I told my husband that this is what I want for Christmas..no jewelry!)

Hmmm, these are non-photosynthetic gorgs. They will require LOTS of food and very strong current, the lighting is not a factor.

This is what I'm looking at...
