Anyone know the best way to get rid of green algae...my whole tank is starting to look very green

I have a pump with a built in UV light, seems to do the trick for me. You could do some research and see if a UV light may help you.

a 1/8 to1/4 teaspoon of sugar( depending on the size of the tank) disolved and added once a week in the tank for a few weeks can work...ive heard it from a saltwater fish store owner ,i tried it a few yrs ago and it worked i had a coworker that tried it an he said it worked..( i dont know of the perfect dose per gal. of tank though) but sugar disolves green algae......(.I Should Say It Helps For Green Hair Algea)...

I wouldn't put sugar in my tank unless you know the specific amount and have absolutely no other choice
