Can I place it directly on the sand? It has about 7 heads/branches. It was thriving for about 4 months and I redid some rock work and now it doesn't come out as strong. Thinking it's maybe the low flow now??

Anyhow I want to move it to front of tank on the sand. This ok?

I would make sure there is no sand sifting goby nearby that might drop sand on it and irritate it. Also make sure no sand is swirling nearby because of PH`s blowing.

I have heard of great results with having the Duncan mounted on a piece of liverock and stting that on or in the sand.
