Halloween day anemone massacre

I feel like a retard and this could of been avoided but it's one of those things that can slip your mind. I bought a decent size long tentacle anemone today. Put him in the tank and a few minutes later I couldn't find him. I noticed stuff floating around in the water then it hit me.... Poor guy got sucked up to the power head. Only half his tentacles are gone I'm hoping he will be fine but this can be easily avoided . Pay attention!

be sure to do a good size water change to rid any toxins
a good method of introducing a nem always shut off power heads till they attach
we've all been there it's not really a fun way to learn hope it makes it
