We have a 38 gal tank and a wet dry trickle filter with 7 gallons. Do we need the hang on the back marine filter if we have this additional filter now? We rcd the hang on the back filter with the tank and afterwards purchased the trickle filter. Just want to know if we could do without the one on the back so that we have more space. Or is it not a good idea? Any and all advice would be great thanks

You dont have to have it. I`m assuming that you have plenty of LR in the tank for good biological filtration also. If you did not then the added HOB might be a good thing.
