Help! What is this crap?

The reef kit doesn't have an ammonia or nitrite test. You could probably get away with just buying an ammonia test, nitrite follows ammonia pretty closely
 
Well, you should always have ph, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate tests around (liquid ones), but if you are going to be keeping corals you'll need to know calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium.
I would get the API salt water and then a salifert calcium kit and a salifert alkalinity kit, and down the road pick up a mag kit.
