HOB going from freshwater to salt

My HOB will be going on my 90 gallon, I have it in freshwater now with a fair amount of salt for the mollies and platys. MY question is will the same nitrifying bacteria in the HOB still work in the 90 or will they all die off in the switch? Of course providing fresh ammonia wouldn't be a problem.

I don't think they will live. It will probably recycle.

Good question. I guess it kind of depends on what salinity you have your mollies at. Perhaps you could slowly take your mollies to full salt(you would have to find alternate housing for the platies) and keep it seeded that way.
