HOB overflow

I think that would be ok but I am no expert at this, I would install a check valve, on youtube bulk reef supply shows you how to install a herby method.
 
there is a few things I personally do not like about the overflow, it does not look like it is adjustable and this may be an issue since why it is a siphon. you may be better off spending a little extra money and getting a better overflow. the pump seems like it will be okay but doesn't give a ton of info on it.
 
I would just make sure its adjustable, eshopps makes a decent one you could go with the nano or get the 300.
 
Lifereef hob overflow is my only option if drilling is not an option
