Hello. For 10 months i used top water. You can see my tank in showcase tanks thread. After all the warning from you guys i finally bought a Ri/Di unit. Hmmm i never had a problem with PH in my tap water[always 8.4-8.6] but now with water from RI/DI unit is 7.8. Yes like some saying the unit takes all the bad staff from water but takes good staff too.Did i just bought a problem? Anyway what is the best way to rise a Ph? thank you!!!

Well, crushed coral can increase the pH but I'm not sure you want to do that. Did you test the water in your tank after you added the RO water? Even when I have added the RO water to my tanks the pH had stabalized in the tank and the RO water didn't have much affect on it.

I use a good buffer for marine aquariums, puts some of that 'good stuff' back in the water again. The one I have will maintain 8.2pH, even if you overdose.
