Purple lettuce looking stuff with green things growing in it?

I don't see the green things you're talking about... But this seems to be a purple macro algae, I have same thing in my tank, and that's a good algae. Just don't spread it if you don't want it everywhere... It grow in spots.

Don't know the scientific name, but if it look like this it's "Red Bush Macro Algae"

Ya, if he talks about the paly, it's a palythoas... I was searching for a 'green' algae or something like this

its red macro algae here is a page to help id most reds are slow growers but still time to time may need a trimming , most herbivores enjoy snacking on them

dont look green but i do see 3 or 4 polyps of some type almost looks like a paly
