6lb rock in a 40 is really not enough but its a start
since its still easy to remove the rock with cayno you can remove it place in 5 gal bucket filled with a gal of salt water scrub it with a tooth brush than rinse in another clean bucket of salt water than you can place it back in your tank prob still do a 10% water change to help rid any contaminants in the tank

be glad you dont have alot of rock in there yet
its not that easy with 45 50 lbs of rock like I have
make sure you have enough water circulation in the tank to help prevent further out breaks

ok your not cycled yet I see, you should really hold off on adding any live stock till you cycle
all you need is a deli shrimp not a live shrimp to help the start of cycle

Well I have a huge rock but it's not alive I'd say it's 20 25lbs you think I can drub that anemiime thing off with a toothbrush too and already cycled with a bait shrimp from the store and saved the rest for food for the tank
