Is petco tetra tanks tempered

We just upgraded from our 30 gallon to 55
Got the tank from petco it is a tetra brand does
Anyone know if the sides are tempered too?? We want
To drill a hole for our sump and skimmer but I can't find
Anywhere that says so.
Let me know. And also is there any issues drilling the hole up
Top on the tank about 3-5 inches blow the rim?

Someone was saying in another thread that the tetra brand tanks are infact tempered therefor cannot be drilled

I had my tank drilled near the top and was fine only thing is make sure it's covered shrimp kept ending up I'm the sump lol. If you google it there are several write ups on how you can test glass to see if it's tempered or not and that's what I'd did before drilling my old tank
