is that normal in a cycle??

my test reads something like a 3.0 for nitrite.... is that normal in a cycle????????? i have 40 lbs of live rock in a 75 gal tank and have an emperor 400 and prizm protein skimmer and 2 acuaclear 400 powerheads running for more than 2 weeks now...

ammonia is about .15
ph is 8.6

Sounds normal to me.

FYI I don't think you should run your skimmer during your cycle. It removes stuff that helps your cycle go faster.

yep, you are mid way in your cycle...a couple more weeks and you will be good to go!
