Just picked up live rock..have some questions.

I picked up about 35lbs of live rock...

1 this **** stinks..Lol it still has nice purple and all on it though...

2 one of the pieces ( which I did not buy) looked like it had bubble algae? The guy said it was probly a mushroom though..or a coral..is there anything that could actually resemble bubble algae? Does it spread? For example of it was on one piece are all going to inevitably contain it? If its not visually there is it safe?

bubble algae on the web seems to be round green balls of algae..this indeed was more of a blob of stuff..

We can't tell without a picture. meanwhile, just because you can't see algae present, doesn't mean you can't get it later. And just because you see some algae on a rock, it's not a definite red flag.
Algae spreads when ample light and nutrients are present.
Keep the bio load and feeding reasonable and you shouldn't see much algae. perhaps none at all.
