Lighting Questions

I just bought timers for my light which is a 30in Current USA. I have the actentcis running from 9-12 and again from 9-12. The daylight bulb is running from 12-9. Is this a proper lighting scheme or should i run the actentics while the daylight bulb is on. TIA.

Most people run the actinic during the main light cycle, possibly switching them on and hour before the daylight bulbs turn on, and an hour after they turn off.

So 9-10 Actinic, 10-8 Day+Act, 8-9 Act

When you have corals, you're looking at all the light you can find.
