Live sand or?

So getting things rounded up for the new 125. I have to say I hate the sand bed in my 75 right now. Its hard to clean, and my guess is too deep. I have red and purple colors against the glass and am now afraid to disturb it. I do have and will be transferring my pistol and goby pair to the 125. So what do I do/ use? Or is sand my only option?

Sand is the best option imo. You can get bigger sand particles or smaller. I only have mine about a inch and a halfdeep
