There are other things to consider...Need more tank info. General rule of thumb is 1 - 2 lbs of LR to Gal of tank water. I only have about 50lbs in my 55gal, but i am using bioballs in my wet-dry temporarily until i can get more rock and another 2" of Live Sand, then im sending those bio-balls the way of the DODO. They are massive producers of Nitrates.
Another thing is how dense the rock is. If the rock is fiji rock it is usually less dense than say FL aquacultured rock. This means that 45lbs of fiji rock will have more filtration area than the same weight of FL rock.
Once you get your rock its going to need to be cured. You can cure it in the tank if you have no fish. if you have fish then you really should cure it out of the tank. Please check our articles area for info on how to cure rock.
