So, I've been pretty interested in a mantis shrimp as a pet recently, and I'd like some basic information on how to keep them, since the internet is actually pretty scarce of important maintenance information.
I know the real basics, like acrylic tank, etc.
Couple of things:
1) Peacock, or False Peacock? The Peacock Mantis Shrimp, is, of course, the most beautiful of them all. What's a proper tank size for them?
And, if that's above, say, 20 gallons, how about odontodactylus havanensis, the false peacock? only half the size of the peacock, so what's the maintenance information on that one?
2) Good US vendors for mantis shrimp?
3) Any excellent resources in reading up for getting one.
