How often do you change your carbon and gfo? I had a anemone death and changed my media right away then I had a fish die and did a 10% w/c within 24hrs of death. But I just recently changed my media again due to nusence algea. Do you change media based off you corals appearance or do you stick to a strict regiment?

It depends on the system how long it'll last really. Once a month I think is appropriate, but GFO has a shorter life span than carbon. Phosphate media like Phosguard only lasts about 2 weeks.

Really some one told me 6 months for gfo and some one told me 3 months and I read 2 weeks.
