So I am filling my tank tonight and wondering the best way to do it. Can i just fill my tank with my ro/di water and then add the salt right to the tank for the first time? theres no fish or anything in the tank. would be alot easier for me to just mix it in the tank for the first time beings I wont even have to do 5 gallons per week water changes with it.

Yes, you can mix in tank the first time. Go easy on the salt though, it can jump up very fast.

ok I hope I do it right. Never done this before :). Will I have to do water changes if I add live rock? or can I just let it brew till its cycled and I add fish?

You should be able to let the live rock cure and cycle the tank. Once the ammonia and nitrite are gone you should do a big water change or two to get the nitrate down and then you can start stocking (and start your 10% weekly water changes).
