My 46g bow

Well everyone else has a tank thread. Might as well have one too I guess. I just set my tank up a couple weeks ago. I started with a 40g breeder which decided to leak so I found this 46g bow. Much nicer! Anyway I still have to build my sump and plumb it in but for now I'm running a hob filter.

40 lbs of aragonite sand
50+ lbs of LR
Some mushrooms
A damsel (soon to leave)
3 types of coral I'm not sure what they are...

Power compacts for now. Going to get LEDs ASAP!

Anyway here she is. Let me know what you think..

I have a 55bow and I love it!! It does sometimes make taking pictures difficult, cuz the curve throws off the view. But I still love it.

Soo these look much better I know they aren't opening up all the way but they look happier. Im still gradually rasing my calcium/alk and i only have pc lights for now Anyone know what they are called? They were given to me.

Gotcha. They are cool. Going to add a fish or two today. Not sure what I'm going to get yet.

Decided against a new fish and went with the start of a cuc. Got a emerald crab, 10 hermits and 6 astris (sp) snails.

Well since last post I have added a white bar maroon clown, 5 more Astraea snails, a peppermint shrimp, serpant star, and 5 nasarius snails. Also got a one headed Duncan and some more mushrooms

Today got some polyps and not sure what it is but it looks like a trumpet of some kind but it's soft...

Filling out very nicely but you need some more oranges and reds to help even out all the greens. Just my preference though. I nice orange plate or acan colony would look fantastic in there.

I agree. I have some Red/orange plate growing and some Green/blue rim plate also growing.

I edited it. did you see the orange acan and ricordia? Love those!

Oh wow love the acans! I just picked up an incredible hulk acan lord with 7 heads, my next purchase is orange acans. Where do you live at cause I'd be more then willing to make a drive to trade acan frags (if your reading this hank you need to frag yours up too lol)

Thanks! I really like the Acans. Its only about 3" right now. I live in Oroville, CA. About 70 miles northeast of sac. If you look in the upper right you can see the Orange monti and red plate.

Ooohh wrong coast lol. I'll probably be making a trip out to san Diego soon to visit my brother and other family so maybe down the road we could meet up lol. I love frag swapping, free new frags essentially haha

Yea for sure. Almost all my frags came from members of our local reef club. Id never be able to afford buying from LFS lol.
