I just use drip irrigation nozzles or whatever they are called. Works perfect.

Testing day.
Yeah I got some tubing and nozzles
For this stuff.
Seems to be working ok!
Nitrates are still fighting me!!!
I've been feeding a lot though. I'll have to slow down

Also figure out what's chewing up the KH so fast! ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1402861163.000736.jpg
Small patches of coraline are spreading across te rocks! Mixed emotions. This means some point I'll have to dip my pumps

I don't think such small patches are the cause for large swings in alk. It would have to be growing and spreading so quickly, it'd be all over your tank in under a month.

Most of the rocks have a good light pink/purple coating. I feared cyano so I tried I scrub it off to test. It's coraline all right

I need to remove nitrates...
I've added extra nitrate media and done 3 water changes this week.
5 gallons each. The tank is a total of 34
Roughly 12%
It's came down slightly 1-2ppm
But it's still right around 4-5 ppm
I'd like lower. It makes me uncomfortable.
I've all but stopped feeding for the week

The soft corals really don't even seem to notice !
I did yet another 5 gallon wc
Got a phosphate test
It's the nutrifin test. (Hagen)
I hate it lol.

Yes much better! Thanks.
All the wc I did last week really helped.
However I realized this morning I have no idea how to care for the goniopora
.... Eats meaty foods needs moderate light moderate flow. Uses calcium and KH from the water. Sensitive to the nasty levels. Blah. But I don't really know how to care for it.

Basically be seen one row from the bottom edge begin to bleach and turn into a chunk of calcium carbonate.

I'd like to stop this and LEARN what this guy really likes.

Anybody who can help. I'll give you whatever info you need from me

Any help would be greatly appreciated
I'm trying to be as humble as possible this thing is beautiful and I don't want to see it die in my care

Algae is snacking on the nitrates
Hermit crabs are snacking on the algae
Haha
I bought another bottle of tigger pods.
Added about 75% of it to the tank
Going to do this twice a month until my tank is overrun by bugs
^^^^ the seriatopora is showing new growth despite the nitrate battle
Small horns or branches are popping up on the current branches.
At first I thought it was bleaching
But they're actually starting to grow out a bit now!!!

Officially 7 months old tommorrow... I think

Also... I've been finding a lot of spaghetti worms I find 1-2 new ones in a new spot each week
And more bristle worms 1-2 a week
I've been feeding them to the bubble tip
It gobbles everything up it can touch ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1403834996.900588.jpg
Except this guy!!! They have finally decided to work together. So awesome to watch the clown rub himself in it

Mushroom split! Now I've got one and....a purple blob hopefully it will develop more zooxanthellae and her the beautiful spots the other , developed one has. I did accidentally cut part of it last week could Thisbe why it decided to split????

All my rock that was "dry rock" in jan is now getting a light coating of coralline
ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1403969287.669628.jpg
All the rocks that came from the beach.
Have te same coating but it's green coralline! Not to be confused with te algae on the back glass
The coralline on the rocks has streaks of orange and definitely won't brush off
I tried to be sure

Two wc in two days
8 gallons a piece.
That's 48% in one weekend
Let's let things balance out and check no3-

Salt mixing station finally setup.
29 gallon brute
Pump is a 1 hr on 1 off all day to keep things nice and mixed
Powerhead had a hose attached that basically turns it into a fountain to keep the water aerated as well
Just got the temp probe

Also bought a 2.5 to get some pod breeding done
Never tried it yet but I figure I'll give it a go ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1403982568.882847.jpg
