Nassarius Snail Breeding

First, I know this is near impossible to do, but if enough deitrus and algae were to be in a snail breeding tank, could it be possible? What ideas do you have to keep deitrus and algae in the tank?

I'm considering it. I don't see a reason to keep buying clean up crews from MY LFS. I'm also considering a hermit crab breeding project
