hey im starting a 10g mini reef (its been going for about 3 months) i have bout 8 pounds of live rock. And 2 damsels. I have bout an inch of sand. But what i need to know is how much watts for my bulbs to have maybe a few small soft corals. i was thinking about 40watts. But also do yall know any cheaps places to get light and where i can get it? please post any places to buy what i need.

Pick up a coralife 20" aqualight. It has a 96 watt power quad bulb that has both 10K daylight and actinic in one bulb! THis would give more then enough light.

40 watts is enough for softies in a 10 gallon, but more is always better

ok thanks but I need the hood and everything, are there any good websites to order them off of? my lfs doesn't carry the lights i need. And like always I'm diggin in that hole in my pocket so if yall know about any deals that would be nice also.

I did a 2x32 set up on my 10 gal. Could not imagine it brighter than that. I know some put MH on though :)
