im getting a new tank soon and im wondering what i need to do to put corals / anemones in. is it necessary to drill holes in my tank?

No, you do not need to drill holes. You could build a sump/fuge and have PVC piping. You really don't need that, but the added water volume would be helpful. Also, depending on what corals you want, will dictate your lighting.

i dont know how many gallons but its about 4ft by 2ft by 2ft and ill be using whichever lighting is most suited to what i need

Looks like a 120 gallon tank. You`ll need to figure out what type corals you want and then get the appropiate lighting. Good luck
