New sump with 50 gallon drums

I want to increase my water volume and decrease humidity and salt creep in my current sump set up which is 150gallon glass sump tank , 800 gallon show tank.

Has anyone here used plastic drums for a sump and just plumbed them together? I would use 5-7 drums.

Thoughts or ideas

Thought
