New tank

Hello I can get a tank that's 4x3x2 1/2 feet. He said it has no cracks or problems with the seal. It is about 13 years old. I was wondering if there anything that I have to worry or should do cause the age?

I would check the seals really good. I have a 29 gallon that's well over 20 years old that's due for a reseal. I can see a bit of algae between the silicone and the glass. I also get a lot of mineral deposit along parts of the outside edges.

Okay maybe I will reseal it before I even add water. Is a overflow box really needed? The tank doesn't have one currently
