New tank cycling question.

Hi
So Ive decided my 1.5g pico is too small, so I decided to upgrade. I bought a 10g and set it up. I put all the cycled sand, filter media and cured live rock from my pico in it. My question is will the tank still need to cycle since I put so much good bacteria in it? Because I have read that sometimes if you add enough cycled sand and filter media it wont even need to cycle.
Thanks!!

there is a chance that you'll see a spike from disrupting the rock and sand. perhaps even a mini cycle. if that didn't happen, all you'll see is a diatom outbreak on the new surfaces.
