I have just about collected all the items I need to start setting up my new tank but I want to make sure I am headed in the right direction... I have a 55 gallon tank with a 260 watt hood. 2- 65 watt Actinic and 2- 65 watt 10,000k CF bulbs. For filtration I have an Emperor 400 biowheel filter along with a marineland seaclone skimmer (claims to be for 150gal tank)

As a newbie i realize i have a lot of trial and error ahead of my before I can start getting involved in corals etc, but I wanted to know if I will have to update my equipment later on... also, how much live rock would one need for said tank? THe emperor circulates 400gph and the seaclone does almost 300gph... are any additional power heads needed?

what does everyone think about cycling with live rock?

its great to have access to such a huge number of helpful informed people!

thanks!
